nikolaj_s_84Я люблю продукцию фирмы Cabot Guns. Воспринимаю её правда не как оружие, а как демонстрацию мастерства при изготовлении ювелирных аксессуаров, у которых сохранён функционал огнестрельного оружия.
Это как статусный рыцарский меч, богато украшенный драгоценными камнями. Делают они красиво -
We are enjoying a continuation of pushing limits in what I have called the golden age of the venerable 1911 as demonstrated in this latest masterpiece we call the Wave Damascus 1911. Weapon making is as old as mankind and once civilizations emerged weapons are likely the first object that was elevated as art and presented to rulers or valued by warriors. I love tradition but we have also advanced the engineering that goes into building the 1911. This gun has it all. One of the greatest blacksmiths of all time, Robert Eggerling, created the Damascus steel that we worked with to make the slide and grips. The material itself is art and the W pattern is what Eggerling refers to waves, not so much as an ocean wave but the type of wave you would see if watching an electronic heartbeat. Material was commissioned to create three units and no others like this will ever exist. Frames,slides and small components are all made by craftsmen under our roof to unparalleled tolerances and models out in 3D software adding a level of engineered feel towards perfection as possible. Finishing is an art and much harder than construction in many instances and with unique materials like this we let them reveal themselves as we attempt varying techniques in order to allow for the greatest expression. With endless detail to admire I like to add a glint of the obvious as a focal point and in this case an 18 kt gold mag release studded by a beautiful blue sapphire sets it off. This pistol was commissioned as a gift for its lucky new owner. I will likely never see it in person again but I'm pretty sure it will be valued and appreciated for generations.
